File Hosts

What good is it to build a deck if you can't share it with everyone? Once you've created your master work, here are a few places to put it so you can link it here. Got a favorite filehost not named below? Add it!

Epic Duels.com: By far the best place to put your files for the game! Free, unlimited file storage.

Your ISP: Most ISPs offer a trivial amount of web space as part of their standard subscription packages. You can't store a lot there, but if you only have a deck or two to share it should be no problem. Contact your technical support department for details about this.

Yahoo Groups: Once upon a time, the Yahoo groups only had 15MB of file space, and most of them filled up quickly since a typical PDF of a printable deck takes up anywhere from 300K to 1MB.  However, the filespace of all yahoo groups was increased to 100MB.  Most epic duels yahoo groups have plenty of space now, but even 100MB will get used up eventually.  Think of these as a temporary housing place if you must use them, and it makes it difficult for users of the wiki to access files in the yahoo groups, since they must first become members of the group in order to access the files.

FileDen: A new serivce on the block, FileDen allows you to host up to 1GB of filespace for free. They also allow you to direct-link from the WIKI to your files.  There is a monthly band-width limit of 5GB/month, but it is difficult to reach that if you're only hostinig Epic Duels content there.

Freewebs: Free website service, which contains limited file storage space; works just like GeoCities.

GeoCities: By virtue of being on the Yahoo groups, you have to have a Yahoo account. By virtue of having a Yahoo account, you're eligable for a 15 megabyte GeoCities page. Since most decks weigh in at less than a megabyte, you should be able to store at least 15-20 decks on Geocities - more if you're only making VASSAL versions!

OrbitFiles: This is a free service that allows you to host up to 6GB. Unfortunately they no longer allow you to direct-link your files, meaning that when someone clicks on the link in the Wiki, it takes you away from the WIKI to a separate downloading page. OrbitFiles has a 10GB/month bandwidth limit, which usually works fine for most epic duels content (unless you're hosting only full expansions of huge file sizes...then each download eats up your bandwidth much faster).
