Mara Jade

Probably one of the best known expanded universe characters, Mara Jade is the creation of Timothy Zahn. She has been at various times a trained assassin for the Emperor, a side kick to smuggler kingpin Talon Karrde, a smuggler queen in her own right, wife of Luke Skywalker, and Jedi Knight and mentor to Jaina Solo. For more on Mara Jade, go here.

Thoughts on EU deck: This deck is strong. Mara's cards are fine if somewhat bland. Anakin's cards are extermely interesting but just don't quite work for me. The deck is fine, just not my favorite.
This is a fine deck for players starting up with expansion decks.

Is there any good reason there never have been a Luke & Mara deck or a Jedi Solo and Han Solo deck? Those two seem to me like the most obvious EU decks to make.

Mara and Luke are both Jedi Masters so why should one be a minor to the other? I like that she "stars" in her own deck, but feel free to add more decks that you'd like to see!

Wouldn't be the first Jedi duo, Anakin & Obi, Qui-Gon and Obi, Anakin and Ashoka, Luminara & Barris, Jaina & Jacen and many more. Same with Sith.
Was just curious as they both share decks with orher personalities but never with there closest ones.
Have to dig deeper into the NJO books hope to get a good feel for those 4 during that time span to be inspired for new decks 😁

With the exception of Jaina & Jacen, each pair you list above is master/padawan. Not sure that really applies to Luke & Mara.

Fun fact: In an Epic Duels tournament final at GenCon, CageyBB (dude is a seriously dominant gamer, I'd put him up there among the best in the world -- no joke) and I took Mara Jade with Luminara & Barriss (I think the slightly weaker 10YA version) against Sultan's Qui-Gon and Mike Maloney's R2-D2 and C-3P0. Qui & R2 mopped the floor with us! Qui popped off a bunch of A7s and that was that.

:D
What Qui-Gon deck did he play?

Sultan's Qui-Gon, the one I think should have been selected for 10YA. Mike Maloney's is more clever and interesting, but Sultan's feels like it could have been an official Hasbro deck.
