Cobb Vanth

Page history last edited by bjthebard 2 years, 5 months ago Saved with comment

Cobb Vanth was the Marshall of Mos Pelgo on Tattooine.  He reclaimed the town from a mining collective using the salvaged armor of Boba Fett before trading it to the Mandalorian in the early days of the new republic.  For more information on Cobb Vanth go here

I realized I made a few mistakes in the formatting of this page, but I'm not sure if I can change the title now. I'm not going to link this anywhere until I can fix the format so that it is a page for Cobb Vanth. (Tusken Raiders are the minor characters in the deck I created)

Revised my this deck quite a bit. I tried to make it similar to the original Boba Fett deck but with more defense and staying power. Let me know what you think!

Cool deck, I was wondering when someone was going to make a Cobb Vanth Deck! I think it would play well but my concern is how strong it is. Tons of movement, really strong defense, and 11 unblockable damage + movement to go with 2 of those cards feels like a lot to me. If the goal is making it super strong I would say you succeeded, but a bit overpowered for the character in my mind.

Thanks for the feedback! I thought improving the defense was pretty important since that sticks out to me as a big weakness in the original Boba Fett deck, but you're right that it is a bit powerful. I also wanted to include a few movement options to make the Right Here Then? card more useful, but I think I may have gone a bit too far. Do you think I should take the movement aspect off of the Rocket Launch card or just make that one less powerful in general to reduce the unblockable damage?

Oh, it is for sure a weakness of the original! I do not think there is anything wrong with a super strong deck, but just personal preference there. In my mind, Cobb Vanth should not be as strong as a character as many others. I am a fan of the "Right Here Then" card and how it works, I do not see any issues with that. Totally your call on the unblockable damage aspect, 11 just seems like a lot to me. You could consider changing the "Targeting Matrix" card to something else.

Have you play tested this at all? Might be interesting to see how it would play out. Not sure if you have ever used Tabletop Simulator for duels, but if you know how to upload that can be a good place to test them out

Revised my deck quite a bit with the help and feedback from Roman in the discord. I also changed the basic attacks to match a yellow+ deck, I might step it down to just yellow if it is still too powerful, but hopefully this makes it less overpowered.
