For the Geektopia deck, when you use nautolean insight and then an insightful attack a few tuns later, if they try to defend with a card from the table and then they realize they cant after i reveal insightful attack, can they then defend from a card in their hand? Or do they have to take the 5 damage?

They can defend with are card from their hand as IA only forbids to defend with one of the face up cards.
